Hi all!

My name is Katelyn Sherry and I am USI's International Students Officer for 2011 - 12.

As part of the USI Equality Campaign, we aim to support overseas students in Ireland and to represent them on a national level. We would encourage anybody interested in the rights of international students studying in this country to get involved in our campaign.

We focus on promoting participation of international students in student union activities. Throughout the year, we will be holding regional seminars, where students will be presented with a chance to express their valuable views. When it comes to decision-making, Irish student unions benefit from the enthusiasm and opinions of students from diverse backgrounds. The goal of the game is to make your voices heard.

Meanwhile, another focus of the campaign will be to lobby for fair employment opportunities for international graduates. This is a sensitive issue that continues to be one of the main concerns of USI.
